In 2019, the year before Corona, I had a beautiful, eventful day in Bendorf with our club. We visited the Sayner Hütte and the Rheinische Eisenkunstguss-Museum in Bendorf-Sayn. The hut became one of the most modern facilities in the Prussian state and supplied it Rhineland with used iron of every type and size, pipes, rails, cannons and ammunition were produced especially for the Koblenz fortresses. Afterwards we went to the museum. The Rheinisches Eisenkunstguss-Museum presents filigree works of art in cast iron - valuable evidence from the time of early industrialization - which were produced in the former royal Prussian Sayner hut. After visiting the garden of the butterflies, the event ended at 5:00 p.m. with food and drink in the nearby “Sayner Scheune”. Since a few of us were here quite early, we first joined us with a cold beer in the beer garden. At a later point in time, we moved indoors to the area reserved for us. We occupied the area in the gallery, where it was a bit narrower but very cozy. The waitress had enough to do with the drink orders. Fresh mussels were advertised on the table as a daily offer. Many of us wanted to take advantage of this offer. However, after a friend and I ordered the mussels, the offer was over. That was it - two servings and nothing more. And that on the late Saturday afternoon. Well, I was lucky that I could have another serving. The mussels were marinated in a delicious wine sauce and there was delicious bread. Hmmmm >>>> it was very tasty and tasted good. In between we unfortunately always had to wait a long time to let the air out of our glasses. One or the other waitress seemed a bit annoyed to serve our group. The entire space made a good, cozy impression. There is a separate guest parking lot at the barn and it can also be easily reached on foot through Sayner Park. All in all, it was a very nice day. Who knows when one can hold such meetings again without fear of infection ...

Gosh, I used to love this place. Took my team and clients all the time - there were weeks we went three times. Even had the whole family for the holiday dinner here. Then: ownership chance and everything went downhill. A shame really. As the place is so conveniently located from our German home, I tried. I really wanted to at least like it. I was so disappointed from both service and food - I will not go again and can not recommend dining here.

Tarte flambée very tasty. Service very disorganized. Many guests were sent away because half of the beer garden was reserved. .where after 1 hour still nobody was sitting. Spontaneously if you're lucky.

Nice locality. Food and prices are ok. If the road were closed, it would be nice and quiet.

Very tasty food. Above all, different variations and not, as is so often the case, the same dishes as everywhere. The salmon with hash browns was delicious. Portions are big enough, we were really full and would love to come back.

In the warm months it is a very nice place to have a nice meal outside in the beer garden or just have a beer. There are enough parking spaces in the immediate vicinity or opposite. The dishes arrive at the table quickly and are tasty. I also found it positive that the fries are cut by themselves. Has already been there several times & tried my way through the menu, everything is good so far! Drinks could have been a little cooler last time. When it is very busy, the waiters are a bit uncoordinated and inattentive. But all in all you get a good beer garden atmosphere with a good price / performance ratio! I can recommend it! ? P.s: Unfortunately there are only a few places available inside in winter.

Very good, homemade dishes. Looks very inconspicuous from the outside. Unfortunately, there were a lot of wasps outside.

If you want to enjoy a nice meal in Sayn right next to the butterfly park, the sayner barn is the right place for you! You can look forward to a great ambience with a large beer garden. The menu has a lot to offer from pizza and pasta, rump steak and fish. The staff is very accommodating! I can only recommend it??

We were there last night for a hen party and were very satisfied. Delicious food, fair prices, friendly staff and a very attentive boss. We had a very nice evening and can recommend the Sayner Scheune ?

Not a large choice of seats, as many tables seemed to be occupied by reservation. There were tables, but then nobody came. Food 50/50. My food was very good (pasta with champions and scampi). At the second meal there was thick flour sauce ... should be cream sauce (recommended daily). I cannot recommend this dish. For an "Italian" average. Price is reasonable. Otherwise nice, thoughtful staff, who also ask about defects. That is great. Then things can get better.

Eat top class. Nice service. Absolutely a recommendation. Right next to the Sayn butterfly park, which is also worth a visit. Five stars is clear.

When we got there we were asked directly whether we wanted to eat something or just drink something. When we said we would just like to have a drink we were directed to a place right next to the entrance. With the comment "only these places for drinking" we were positioned like people of second class in places in the blazing sun. As other guests followed who also wanted to "just have a drink", they were strangely placed in reasonably decorated and shady places. Here you are treated worse as a younger person than other people. In addition, unfriendly staff and somewhat expensive prices for the drinks.

Were there today, service was clearly overwhelmed, coffee, drinks and cake came sometime in the third attempt. Bill came just before 30 min. All in all, neither particularly friendly, nor particularly quick or attentive. Cake was nothing special, coffee was rather bland and looked as if it had been on the hot plate for hours. Not a place for us to go back to. Prices were okay.

Came over by chance. Nice beer garden. Nice personel. The lasagna was great. Fair prices. Recommendable

Now this IS a place for the summer. Great outdoor seating, fabulous staff, easy parking and good wines too. We enjoyed every minute........

Nice beer garden, nice interior, here you can make yourself comfortable. Unfortunately, the staff is not ready for many guests. Long, long after the order, it was announced that one or the other dish no longer exists. The ordered pizza bread with the salad unfortunately only came with the main course. After serving the food, no more attention was paid to whether we would like to have a drink. Therefore our stay was no longer than necessary. The food was again good. The portions not too small either.
